About Us
Verse of Silence is a literary organization started in 2018 by the Founder and Editor-in-chief Kavya Sharma.
With an intention to provide an unbiased, creative platform to artists across India, we at Verse of Silence release quarterly digital magazine issues featuring poems, stories, artworks, illustrations, book reviews, photo essays, etc from artists across the world.
Apart from the magazine issues, the VoS team tirelessly conducts yearly poetry writing and storytelling contests, creative writing workshops, panel discussions and online and offline events.
We've grown a beautiful community of passionate people over the years and we're so proud of how far we've come, but the journey is not over yet. We intend to make VoS bigger and better for all of you, to grow our loyal readership and spread art as much as we can.

Meet the Team
Founder, Editor-in-Chief
KAVYA SHARMA
Kavya Sharma is a womanist, a poet, and a fiction author. She finished her Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham. She has authored 4 books previously including two fiction novels, namely To Naddiyaa and All Season’s Alike both published by Storymirror; and two poetry books called The Carmine Memories published by Partridge India and Struggle for Intimacy published by Hawakal Publishers.
Her works have been featured in newspapers like The Asian News, Deccan Chronicle, The Sunday Guardian, BBC Nottingham, Kitaab Singapore, The Bangalore Review, etc. Her books have been featured in various Book Festivals across India.
She is a freelance fiction/poetry editor and a creative writing mentor.
Magazine Designer
VIDIT SAXENA
An engineering undergraduate from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vidit has designed the previous issues for Verse of Silence. He has worked for Half Baked Beans as the cover designer of the poetry anthology, The 7 Transgressions. He handles design projects for his college department. Currently, he is also working for a telehealth company Any Time Doctor as a Digital Marketing Executive.

NIDA SAHAR
Nida is techno-entrepreneur, a mentor and a poet. Some of her poetry is published in MuseIndia, Coldnoon (International Journal of Travel Writing & Travelling Cultures), Spark, FWDLife and Anthologies 'Forever You'. Some of her stories are published in Deccan Herald.
She performs at a few open mics and explores different poetic forms. She is a winner of the international SourceCode Poetry competition.
Nida is a feminist and a firm supporter of women in engineering and technology. She regularly volunteers for communities that work on empowering women. When not writing poetry or code, she is managing these communities while working on her startup.
